The rooms are filling up fast and Autumn has set in, so it is all 'go' here at Groveland Park! We simply don't know where the weeks are going and as you can imagine there is a lot of news to be shared... Some of the residents took a day trip to Hastings. It was the perfect day for a walk along the sea front with an ice cream before they all sat down and had a traditional Fish & Chips dinner. They came back with sticks of rock and plenty of pictures to share their day with the ones who did not go. The evening events have been nights to remember - We've had a 50's themed night with all songs that got the memories flooding back; everybody was up on their feet dancing and singing along. Then we had the pleasure of pianist and singer Sarah Kershaw bringing us some real sparkle to the place with her lovely voice as everyone indulged in Champagne and Canapés. The residents are now all looking forward to our next night of fabulous music by guitarist and singer Mark. We've had a couple of birthday celebrations, one in particular where Elvis was in the house! He put on a brilliant birthday show for one of our lovely ladies out on the sun terrace; it made her day that extra bit special and the smiles on everybody's faces just said all that needed to be said. So, as the season has changed and the tree's begin to go bare - Groveland Park is full of life and looking forward to what lies ahead in the winter months.
