Tracy has been keeping out residents busy with various trips out and lots of arts and crafts in the home. On Monday our residents visited Teapot Island in Maidstone where they strolled around the teapot museum which boasts their wonderful collection of around 6700 teapots. There has been a cafe on site since the 1950s. It started its life as a tin shack serving tea and selling bait to the fisherman. As the cafe is well known for their cream teas we though it would be rude not to sit down and enjoy one. (Not forgetting of course a pot of tea).
Tuesday our residents visited Addington Lock and took a ride down the River Medway on their boat. They finished the day with fish and chips for lunch.
Wednesday Father Keith from the local community church visited the home to give a masterclass in flower arranging. The residents enjoyed learning the new tips and techniques especially as it is one of their favourite activities that takes place regularly in the home. Their floral creations are dotted around the home for all to enjoy.
