Being a part of Bexleyheath’s community for two and a half years now and we felt it was about time we held an Open Day for all to come and visit our home to see what we are all about. We held a fabulous day of 1940s themed fun, frolics, music and reminisce for our residents, relatives, visitors and staff to enjoy. The staff and residents got into the spirit of the day and had their hair and make-up 1940s style with red lips and pin curls galore and the garden and home had red, blue and white balloons and bunting dotted around. We all enjoyed a era themed buffet style lunch whilst singing along to all the cockney and favourite classics from the 1940s with thanks to the amazing Diane Moore who got everyone in full swing. The day was aimed at all ages so the children enjoyed having their face painted with patterns and art of their choice. Also throughout the day was cocktails and refreshments served by the staff and a tombola full of prizes.
